Going paperless with mainstay® checklists

   09 Feb 2015

The concept of a paperless system isn’t new. In fact the idea has been around since the late 1970’s. It’s only been recently however, with the introduction and development of mobile technology, that the concept has gained momentum.

Paper forms have long been the cornerstone of most work management systems. Unless a computer was available at the point of collection, data was traditionally collected in paper forms and often re-entered into other systems for recording, reporting and analysis purposes. While this approach is easy to implement, data transfer is slow, it is subject to translation and interpretation errors and is very labour intensive.

A more efficient solution

mainstay® have developed an eForm checklist solution which is designed to replace paper based forms. Through the development of this functionality, mainstay® has embraced the paperless system concept to deliver a paperless work management solution.

System users can design their own eForm checklists to suit their own applications. For example, eForm checklist can be used to replace;

  • Work Health & Safety forms
  • Asset inspection forms
  • Business administration forms
  • Operations forms

The eForm checklists can be accessed and completed by staff via a mobile device. With all data being electronically collected and stored, data analysis and reporting is easier and quicker than paper based systems.
